At the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century, Jūrmala became a summer retreat for many affluent families. Among them were the Kuznetsovs — a prominent entrepreneurial family whose name is closely connected with the history of Riga and Jūrmala.

Kuznetsovs owned properties in Majori and Dzintari, as well as nearby Melluzi station, where they spent their summers by the sea. Their days were filled with peaceful relaxation, social gatherings, and tennis — an essential part of the resort life of that era. Alongside their own summer stays, they also rented out their villas to other visitors, contributing to the development of Jūrmala as a popular seaside destination.

Today, we continue this tradition of seaside hospitality. By preserving the connection to the place’s history, we offer our guests the opportunity to experience Jūrmala’s summer atmosphere much like visitors did more than a century ago — honoring the story of this place while carrying its legacy forward.
